Job Title: Senior Principal Engineer Software

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Engineer Software to join our team in Melbourne, Florida. As a key member of our Global Surveillance Division, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and delivery of our program's network architecture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and test software applications and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
  • Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems.
  • Determine computer user needs and analyze system capabilities to resolve problems.
  • Prepare operating instructions and design and develop compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
  • Ensure software standards are met.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 9 or more years of experience in software engineering.
  • Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 7 or more years of experience in software engineering.
  • Active DoD secret or Top Secret clearance.
  • Experience with scripting languages, such as Bash or Python.
  • Experience with firewall, VPN, switch, and router configuration.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 7 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Active DoD secret or Top Secret clearance.
  • Experience with a scripting language, such as Bash or Python.
  • Experience with firewall, VPN, switch, and router configuration.
