The Director of Finance & Administration will report directly to the Executive Director and will be an integral part of the leadership team. You will manage a dedicated team of six, including the Office Manager and Claims Manager, overseeing all financial reporting, managerial accounting, and administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee comprehensive accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and program funding reimbursements.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards including Market Access Program (MAP) and Agricultural Trade Promotion (ATP).
- Supervise the Claims Manager and Claims Coordinators to guarantee timely processing of claims.
- Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A), focusing on forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
- Manage billing and collections processes effectively.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations for all bank accounts, including payroll and investment accounts.
- Oversee daily cash flow management to ensure organizational liquidity.
- Act as the primary liaison with auditors and insurance providers.
- Establish and maintain a robust system of internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
- Ensure legal and tax compliance, managing the retirement plan and maintaining adequate insurance coverage.
- Maintain and update all leases and contracts affecting the financial health of the organization.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Prepare comprehensive month-end financial packets, including profit & loss statements and balance sheets.
- Provide timely financial reports to Directors and collaborate with leadership on operational performance.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for business reviews and board meetings.
- Enhance financial modeling and reporting to support operational analysis.
- Manage investments and assess organizational risks effectively.
- Coordinate Unified Export Strategy notifications and applications.
- Prepare year-end program documentation as required.
- Work collaboratively with leadership to address financial inquiries.
- Supervise the Office Manager in HR coordination, IT, and administration across all offices.
- Facilitate training sessions to ensure team members are equipped with necessary skills and knowledge.
- Promote a culture of trust, integrity, and accountability within the organization.
- Foster an inclusive work environment that values diversity and equity.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- At least two years of experience in a managerial role.
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and financial management.
- Proven project management skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a strategic perspective.
- Remote work capability preferred, residing in PST/MST time zones.
- Ability to travel overnight as required.

Compensation:
This is an exempt position with a salary range of $80,000 to $105,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
