Position Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Technical Project Manager to oversee multiple technical initiatives within our organization. This role is primarily remote, with occasional onsite requirements.

Role Summary:

The selected candidate will collaborate closely with Project Managers to facilitate IT projects. This includes acting as a liaison between stakeholders and development teams to gather and document project requirements. The environment is a blend of Waterfall and Agile methodologies, where Business Analysts typically initiate projects with Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and translate them into actionable epics, features, and user stories in JIRA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage 3-5 concurrent projects effectively.
  • Work in partnership with assigned Business Analysts.
  • Engage in regular communication with stakeholders.
  • Participate in project status meetings.
  • Contribute to PM team meetings and training sessions, including the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Required Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience as a Senior IT/Technical Project Manager.
  • Strong technical knowledge and familiarity with systems architecture.
  • Proven experience in hybrid project environments, including Agile and Scrum.
  • Ability to manage challenging stakeholders and take ownership of projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Banking or Financial Services sector.
  • Proficiency in JIRA and Confluence.

Key Stakeholders:

This role will interact with various IT groups, including mainframe, application development, database, quality assurance, operations, and infrastructure teams, as well as business users up to the VP level.

Deliverables:

The Project Manager will be responsible for producing BRDs, FRDs, epics, features, user stories, workflow diagrams, process and data mapping, and visualizations.

Framework:

The position operates within a hybrid framework, utilizing both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.

Tools/Technology:

Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and Visio is essential.
