Job Title: Training Specialist

At MEI Rigging & Crating, we are seeking a highly skilled Training Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in training and development, with experience in designing and delivering training programs for regional offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and administer training programs for assigned regional offices
  • Act as a liaison between training and regional office management
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding activities and present Day 1 Orientation information to new hires
  • Oversee and manage training projects and initiatives specific to regional office needs
  • Administer LMS to track assigned training and invite users to attend voluntary and mandatory training sessions
  • Assist in the design, coordination, scheduling, and implementation of training programs for corporate personnel
  • Perform all other duties as necessary or as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, training, human resources, or related field
  • Five years of experience as a Training Specialist or similar role
  • Experience designing training programs and curriculums that include program effectiveness considerations
  • Demonstrated ability in training techniques that are geared toward individual and group training efforts
  • Experience administering learning management software
  • Highly proficient with MS Office, including PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
  • Strong organization and planning skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to convey complex or technical information and concepts across all levels of staff

Working Conditions:

The Training Specialist will frequently work with management and the Training and Development Director for training concepts and program buildout. The ideal candidate will be self-directed and self-motivated, with the ability to manage their own time efficiently and encourage this with others.

Physical Requirements:

The Training Specialist will be required to travel locally between regional offices on a frequent basis. A valid driver's license, insurability, and willingness to travel are essential for this role.
