This role is pivotal in driving the sales of HPC Foodservice's offerings across a designated region. The District Sales Executive will align with the strategic objectives set forth by the leadership team, ensuring effective execution of sales initiatives.
Reporting Structure
The District Sales Executive will report directly to the Executive Sales Leader.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities while maintaining existing client relationships to foster profitable sales growth.
- Qualify leads in line with company objectives and strategic goals.
- Analyze customer requirements and curate a tailored selection of products and services to fulfill those needs.
- Monitor market dynamics and suggest relevant products to clients based on their business objectives.
- Stay updated on industry trends, product advancements, and competitor offerings; relay this information to clients as part of the value-added services.
- Address customer inquiries regarding product specifications, pricing, availability, and usage.
- Provide training and product knowledge to customer staff as needed.
- Utilize personal transportation to visit client locations, attend industry events, and participate in company meetings.
- Manage accounts receivable in collaboration with the credit department, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances.
- Handle product deliveries in accordance with the transportation department's schedule, resolving any issues that may arise during the order fulfillment process.
- Engage in company events, promotions, and customer outreach activities. Attend district and general sales meetings.
- Review and interpret sales reports, including special order requests and profit margin data.
- Perform administrative tasks such as preparing sales forecasts, maintaining records, processing returns, and generating sales proposals.
- Participate in ongoing training and assist in onboarding new team members as required.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by Sales Leadership.
Qualifications
A high school diploma is mandatory. Preference will be given to candidates with six months of sales experience or a degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, or Culinary Arts. Experience in foodservice sales is advantageous.
Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Outlook are essential. Candidates should demonstrate an ability to stay informed about technological advancements and customer needs relevant to real-world applications. Familiarity with AS400 is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills are crucial for engaging with a diverse clientele. Effective negotiation, problem-solving, and persuasive communication skills are necessary. Solid presentation abilities are beneficial. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required.
A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential. Candidates must be able to drive for business purposes and maintain current automobile insurance with specified liability limits. Successful completion of a pre-employment screening is required.
