Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist III to join our team at El Camino Health. As a key member of our Pulmonary Services team, you will be responsible for providing advanced respiratory care to patients in our Cardiopulmonary Wellness Center and other areas of the hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients, including patient assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to promote best practice and optimize patient care.
  • Lead group exercises and provide educational lectures to patients and families.
  • Perform non-invasive diagnostic testing, including 6MWT, spirometry, and physical performance testing.
  • Support the Pulmonary Rehab Program, including patient intakes, diagnosis criteria, and insurance coding.
Requirements
  • AS degree in Respiratory Care from an approved program.
  • Licensed by the State of California Respiratory Care Board as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
  • Minimum three years of inpatient experience in an acute care hospital.
  • One year ED and/or ICU experience.
  • Experience in Pulmonary Rehab, preferred for Cardiopulmonary Wellness Center.
  • Knowledge of pathophysiology and treatment of chronic lung diseases.
  • Experience in exercise training and education, preferred.
  • Experience in pulmonary function testing and interpretation, preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (RRT) or Registered by the National Respiratory Care Board as a Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT).
  • Hold and maintain active membership with National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
Salary Range

$78.06 USD Hourly
