Responsibilities

Conduct thorough reviews of payment transactions, utilizing critical thinking skills to identify and resolve complex issues.

Post payments and write-offs/adjustments from insurance and patient accounts, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.

Identify and research unusual or escalated issues, documenting all activities and findings in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Maintain current knowledge of internal, industry, and government regulations applicable to the assigned function.

Establish and maintain professional relationships with peers and stakeholders, providing exceptional customer service and attention to detail.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Knowledge of general concepts and practices related to the healthcare field, debits and credits, clinic operations, regulatory/reporting requirements, and automated systems.

Excellent customer service, attention to detail, critical thinking, and ability to maintain confidentiality of medical records.

Ability to understand and apply detailed billing requirements and cash posting processes, effectively prioritizing tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

One to three years of revenue cycle or related work experience, demonstrating attainment of the requisite job knowledge and abilities.

Graduation from a post-high school program in medical billing or other business-related field.

Pay Range

$15.00 - $20.33 /hour
