Job Title: Electrical Process Engineer

Aquinas Consulting is seeking an Electrical Process Engineer to join our team in Princeton, IL. As an Electrical Process Engineer, you will be responsible for the preparation of designs, layouts, and estimates for the installation and maintenance of electrical and electronic equipment in the plant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare designs, layouts, and estimates for electrical and electronic equipment installation and maintenance.
  • Lead and implement Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.
  • Use formal problem-solving techniques to identify and resolve complex problems.
  • Initiate and manage productivity and cost savings projects.
  • Implement and maintain process controls through advanced quality planning techniques.
  • Research, evaluate, justify, and recommend capital equipment for operations.
  • Prepare capital expenditure requisitions and manage the implementation of capital equipment projects.
  • Stay current with state-of-the-art technologies and equipment.
  • Participate in developing strategic manufacturing processes.
  • Prepare and coordinate the implementation schedule for major projects and process changes.
  • Develop and maintain all relevant process documentation.
  • Analyze proposed engineering changes for manufacturing impact and feasibility.
  • Participate in developing and maintaining ISO 9001 procedures and documents.
  • Assist Purchasing and Quality Assurance in qualifying suppliers.
  • Attend training opportunities deemed necessary by management.
  • Lead and support automation initiatives in the plant.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred (Electrical, Electronics, or Electronics Engineering Technology).
  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing and solving complex problems.
  • Proficient with RS Logix 5000, Studio 5000, AutoCAD, MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience of working with PLC programming and wiring.
  • Experience of working with cobots and robots.
  • Solid written and verbal communication as well as conflict resolution skills.
  • Organized with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and in independent situations.
