Hennepin Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced physician to lead its Radiology Department as Department Chair. This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in radiology, leadership, and academic medicine.

The Department Chair will be responsible for the strategic recruitment, retention, and development of the Medical Staff members essential for the fulfillment of our organizational mission. This includes championing the organization's academic endeavors, ensuring the quality of care delivered, and working closely with provider finance services to manage departmental finances.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of leadership, a deep understanding of radiology, and a commitment to academic medicine. They will be responsible for optimizing the allocation of department resources, ensuring patient access to care, and fostering a multidisciplinary, collaborative, and comprehensive approach to care delivery.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Doctorate Degree (MD, DO, or equivalent) is required
  • Current (or eligible for) license to practice Medicine in the State of Minnesota
  • Board certified in an ABMS recognized specialty
  • Minimum 5 years administrative leadership experience at the institution, department, or section level
  • Must hold or be eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Minnesota
