Medical Office Coordinator

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team at AdvoCare, LLC. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service, ensuring seamless administrative support, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greets patients and verifies demographic information and appointment schedules.
- Verifies and enters patient demographics in medical manager and copies pertinent insurance cards.
- Collects co-pays and ensures all checks received are dated and signed.
- Places various documents in patient files, including school notes and insurance forms.
- Confirms patient appointments and answers telephone calls with courtesy and respect for patient confidentiality.
- Understands and implements office procedures and performs other duties as requested by providers, coordinators, and management.
- Maintains confidentiality and uses discretion when handling patient medical records and information.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of prior experience in a medical setting preferred.
- Able to use office equipment satisfactorily and handle paperwork/filing adequately.
- Skilled in patient service principles and establishing effective working relationships with staff, patients, and the public.
- Ability to communicate clearly in person and on the phone and establish/maintain cooperative relationships with patients, families, physicians, staff, and other customers.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively and maintain confidentiality.
