Position Overview:

The Natural Gas Engine Technical Instructor role is dedicated to the creation and facilitation of specialized training sessions focused on Caterpillar G3300, G3500, and G3600 Natural Gas Engine Equipment for both internal staff and external clients.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma is mandatory.
- Minimum of five years of experience in construction equipment is essential.
- Preferred two to four years of experience in technical training.
- Caterpillar Instructor Accreditation Program (CIAP) or equivalent is desirable.

- Demonstrated technical proficiency in areas such as Gas and Diesel Engines, Drivetrain, Emissions, A/C, and Electronic Troubleshooting.

- Experience in diagnosing and repairing both Caterpillar and non-Caterpillar Gas and Diesel Equipment.

- Strong understanding of Gas and Diesel Equipment and related products.

- Ability to apply the A.D.D.I.E. Process for developing and updating cutting-edge technical training programs.

- Familiarity with diagnostic tools, DMM, computer diagnostic software (Cat ET or Cummins Insite), and Cat web-based applications (SiS 2.0 and Sims).

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver presentations to diverse audiences.

- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, high-volume environment, with a focus on precision and efficiency.

- Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.

- Strong interpersonal skills to foster relationships across various departments.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.

- Basic knowledge of project management principles.


Key Responsibilities:

- Design and implement technical training programs that align with HOLT CAT's strategic business objectives.

- Create training opportunities for employees and customers using the ADDIE Process, including planning and delivering training sessions.

- Act as a subject matter expert in areas such as tuning G3300, G3500, and G3600 engines, performing gas analysis, and troubleshooting electronic systems.

- Evaluate trainee progress and training effectiveness, providing reports on outcomes within designated training periods.

- Collaborate with various stakeholders to identify training needs and understand policy, procedure, and technology changes affecting training.

- Continuously enhance personal training skills and methodologies to ensure effective knowledge retention and resource utilization.

- Maintain consistent attendance and keep supervisors informed of work schedules and any changes.

- Promote and reinforce HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) principles to ensure alignment with our organizational vision and mission.

- Adhere to safety protocols and comply with all company policies and standards.

- Perform additional duties as assigned.


Travel Requirements:
Willingness to travel 30% to 50% as necessary.

Physical Demands:
This role involves frequent communication and the ability to exchange accurate information. It requires routine use of standard office equipment such as computers and presentation tools. The position entails significant time spent standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching, as well as occasional lifting of materials and equipment up to 45 lbs.

Work Environment:
This position is typically split between an office/classroom setting and a lab/outdoor environment, with exposure to various maintenance conditions.
