We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Gas Engineer to join our team at PG&E Corporation. As a key member of our Gas Standards Engineering department, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective gas standards and procedures that enable us to meet or exceed compliance with applicable codes and regulations and ensure public and employee safety.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in gas operations, maintenance, engineering, design, and construction, as well as excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain effective gas standards and procedures
  • Ensure work products are on time and high quality to meet or exceed applicable code requirements
  • Evaluate variance requests for deviations from gas standards and procedures
  • Interact regularly with multiple departments, including Engineering and Design, Maintenance and Construction, and Materials
  • Provide oversight and leadership to gas technical teams
  • Promote a compliance-driven culture through engagement and training
  • Work effectively with key stakeholders to incorporate input and ensure compliance and safety
Requirements
  • BS Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License (desired)
  • Knowledge of 49 CFR Part 192, CPUC GO 112-F
  • Knowledge of natural gas operations, maintenance, engineering, design, and construction
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and organization skills
  • Proactive self-starter
