Facilities Specialist Role Overview

Ohio's Hospice is seeking a skilled Facilities Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, including maintenance, repairs, and upkeep.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate facility maintenance and repairs, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential issues and implement preventative measures.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans to ensure optimal facility performance.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate prices, and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of energy-efficient practices and initiatives.
  • Participate in emergency response and disaster recovery efforts as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and staff, responding to facility-related concerns and issues in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in facilities maintenance, repair, or management.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
