Job Overview

Sovereign Consulting Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Environmental Project Manager to lead environmental management projects at our Cherry Hill, NJ or Robbinsville, NJ locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and execute consulting tasks for remediation projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, third-party vendors, and regulatory bodies through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, including cost-to-closure estimation, to ensure financial transparency and accountability.
  • Oversee field activities, such as soil and groundwater sampling, drilling, monitoring well installation, excavations, and remedial action implementation, while maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Supervise and mentor staff-level positions, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Collect and analyze supplemental site characterization data, and review historical files and records to inform project decisions.
  • Present milestone reports in accordance with New Jersey, other states, and EPA rules and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Project Manager with direct oversight responsibilities for remediation projects.
  • Industrial/chemical manufacturing site experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with EPA rules and regulations, particularly TSCA and RCRA.
  • Extensive knowledge of NJDEP guidance, rules, and regulations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to write technical reports and contribute to proposal preparation, project scoping, and budget tracking.
  • Organizational skills and prior experience with MS Office products.
  • OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training; current 8-Hour refresher preferred.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
