About the Role

University Center Imaging is seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our imaging services team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic examinations using mammography imaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and escort patients for imaging procedures
  • Collect and record patient data
  • Interpret physician's reports
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures
  • Explain procedures to patients in detail
  • Answer patient questions prior to and after procedures
  • Perform diagnostic examinations using mammography imaging equipment
  • Interpret clinical data and adjust technical factors as needed
  • Complete knowledge of Acquisition station, Soft Copy workstation, tool pad, and Laser Printer
  • Maintain accurate records of supplies used and report stock levels to administrators
  • Practice sterile techniques and maintain aseptic conditions
  • Provide radiation safety protection to patients
  • Schedule patients for procedures
  • Knowledge of RIS software and PACS workstations

Requirements
  • AA/AS Degree
  • Current licensure by the State of Florida
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) Mammography registry
