Patient Financial Advocate

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Patient Financial Advocate to join our team at Firstsource Solutions USA, LLC. As a Patient Financial Advocate, you will play a critical role in helping patients navigate the complex healthcare system and access the financial assistance they need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Screen patients for eligibility assistance programs and provide information and reports to client contacts.
- Review hospital census and identify self-pay patients to screen for state, county, and federal eligibility assistance programs.
- Initiate application processes bedside and assist patients with enrollment applications.
- Provide transition support for backend Patient Advocate Specialists to develop positive relationships with patients.
- Record patient information and document results of screenings in designated tracking tools and hospital computer systems.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of experience in medical coding, medical billing, eligibility, or other pertinent medical experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to walk, sit, and stand for extended periods.
- Dress code and other policies may vary at each healthcare facility.
- Working on holidays or odd hours may be required.
