The Front Desk Clerk plays a crucial role in ensuring guest satisfaction by managing all facets of guest services. This position requires a friendly demeanor and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Facilitate the check-in and check-out process for guests, adhering to established hotel standards.
  2. Provide guests with comprehensive information regarding hotel amenities, policies, and local attractions.
  3. Manage incoming calls through the hotel’s phone system, ensuring accurate message delivery and call transfers.
  4. Handle guestroom reservations, including modifications and cancellations as needed.
  5. Address guest inquiries, requests, and complaints, collaborating with other departments to meet special needs.
  6. Perform cashier duties, including processing payments and managing guest accounts.
  7. Communicate any maintenance or housekeeping issues reported by guests to the appropriate departments.
  8. Implement security protocols to safeguard guests and staff, including knowledge of emergency procedures.
  9. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Front Office area.

Additional Information:

This position requires flexibility, as the hotel operates 24/7. Employees may be required to work varying shifts based on business needs.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Education and Experience:

Prior experience in a customer service role is preferred. Relevant certifications or training in hospitality management are a plus.
