Job Title: MRI Tech Aide

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented MRI Tech Aide to join our team at Midstate Radiology Associates. As an MRI Tech Aide, you will work under the direct supervision of staff technologists and assist in various modalities within the radiology department.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Practice radiation safety and adhere to established policies and procedures to protect patients and staff.
  2. Clean and disinfect equipment and maintain a clean work area.
  3. Meet the needs of patients with regard to their age, condition, or other special requirements.
  4. Accurately input data in the RIS system to capture all charges and relevant information.
  5. Develop strong computer skills to prepare reports and correspondence.
  6. Work effectively as a team member within the department and with other units to provide quality service.

Qualifications:

We require a high school diploma or equivalent and CPR certification. At least one year of experience in a radiology setting is desirable.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Working knowledge of department technology, anatomy, medical and surgical disease, and scientific principles.
  • Patients care standards and requirements.
  • Quality assurance principles and practices.
  • Customer service principles and practices.
  • OSHA principles and practices.
  • TJC standards of practice.

Special Conditions:

May be required to rotate on weekend and/or holiday schedule. May be required to cover ancillary offices as needed. OSHA Class 1 exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens. Physical lifting and walking required.
