Radiologic Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Midstate Radiology Associates. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for operating radiological equipment and performing diagnostic examinations to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate radiological equipment and perform diagnostic examinations, following established protocols and selecting correct exposure factors to produce high-quality images.
- Participate in complex invasive radiological procedures, assisting radiologists in performing procedures and producing images to provide therapeutic and diagnostic services.
- Practice radiation safety, using radiation protection devices and adhering to radiation safety standards to protect patients, staff, and comply with regulatory agencies.
- Maintain radiological equipment in good working order, cleaning and disinfecting equipment and area after each use, and reporting any hazardous conditions or equipment breakdowns to supervisor.
- Demonstrate yearly competencies, including knowledge and behaviors, to conduct examinations and meet the needs of patients with regard to age, condition, or other special requirements.
- Prepare examinations for interpretation by radiologists, including correct identification and processing, and accurately input data in the RIS system to capture all charges and relevant information.
- Work effectively as a team member within the department and with other units to provide quality service through communication, cooperation, and collaboration.
- Provide clinical supervision and instruction to students, maintaining and understanding of policies, procedures, and the clinical competency process to evaluate student growth and competence in performing radiographic procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved radiology program.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).
- CT state license.
- CPR certification may be required.
- Maintenance of continuing education credits as required by licensure.
- At least one year's experience as a radiological technologist.
- Associates or Applied Science Degree in a related field.
May be required to rotate on weekend and/or holiday schedule. May be required to cover ancillary offices, as needed. OSHA Class 1 exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens. May involve physical lifting and/or walking.
