Position Title: RN - Med-Surg Float Pool

Location: Tallahassee, Florida

Compensation: Up to $40 per hour, based on experience

Incentive: $20,000 Sign-On Bonus

Work Schedule:

  • Shift: 12-Hour Days and Nights (Rotating Weekends)
  • Weekly Schedule: 3 Days
  • Total Weekly Hours: 36
  • Shift Start: 07:00 AM or 07:00 PM
  • Shift End: 07:00 PM or 07:00 AM

Position Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) with expertise in Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) care. In this role, you will have the chance to provide exceptional care across various Med-Surg departments, catering to a wide range of patient needs. This full-time role demands flexibility and the ability to adapt, as you will be required to work both day and night shifts, including weekends.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Act as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring confidentiality and privacy.
  • Conduct thorough nursing assessments and make precise diagnoses to facilitate patient care.
  • Design and execute patient care plans, focusing on continuous improvement.
  • Adjust to the requirements of different Med-Surg units, delivering consistent and empathetic care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to guarantee comprehensive patient management.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of recent acute Med-Surg experience is mandatory.
  • Possession of an active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida, or the ability to obtain it before starting.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is essential.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred; must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
