Position Title: RN - Med-Surg Float Pool
Location: Tallahassee, Florida
Compensation: Up to $40 per hour, based on experience
Sign-On Incentive: $20,000
Work Schedule:
- Shift: 12-Hour Day and Night Rotations (Includes Weekends)
- Weekly Schedule: 3 Days
- Total Weekly Hours: 36
- Shift Start: 07:00 AM or 07:00 PM
- Shift End: 07:00 PM or 07:00 AM
Position Summary:
We are in search of a skilled and compassionate Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) with a focus on Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) care. This full-time role offers the chance to work across multiple Med-Surg departments, delivering exceptional care to a variety of patient demographics. Flexibility and adaptability are essential, as this position involves rotating between day and night shifts, including weekends.
Key Duties:
- Act as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring confidentiality and privacy.
- Conduct thorough nursing assessments and make accurate diagnoses to facilitate patient care.
- Design and execute patient care plans, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing improvement.
- Adjust to the diverse needs of various Med-Surg units, providing consistent and empathetic care.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Required Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of recent acute Med-Surg experience is mandatory.
- Possession of an active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida, or the ability to obtain it prior to employment.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred and must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
