Property Risk Consultant

This role is a work from home opportunity, ideally based in the Virginia area. As a Property Risk Consultant with Maetz Consulting, LLC, you will be responsible for providing field risk engineering services to meet underwriting requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities- Develop and implement customer service strategies to reduce loss and improve customer operations.
- Attend client broker meetings to provide engineering support to the underwriting team.
- Perform field engineering services where necessary for larger locations on accounts and/or prospects within the region.
- Deliver advanced property consultative services to customers, including identifying exposures with significant loss potential and property management programs.
- Assist in marketing Zurich risk transfer insurance products in conjunction with underwriting professionals and agents across company business segments.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Risk Engineering area, or
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Risk Engineering area.
We are looking for individuals with strong communication and consultative skills, as well as a high degree of proficiency related to PC and MS-Office Software. A Bachelor's degree in engineering, Fire Science, or related degree, HPR Property experience, Loss control/Risk Engineering experience within the insurance industry, Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) designation, and a history of working successfully in a team environment are also highly desirable.
The estimated salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
