We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Director to join our team at Mastercard. As a key member of our Data Management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data governance processes, standards, and policies to improve data practices.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain data governance processes and procedures to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Partner with data owners to create and manage data standards and best practices.
- Identify and develop control structures for governance processes and manage program updates.
- Manage a work queue of issues and escalate data issues to senior executive management.
- Provide governance subject matter expertise across projects and the data stewardship community.
- Facilitate forums to communicate governance practices and principles to improve data literacy and compliance.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong understanding of data governance and industry best practices. You should have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
Key qualifications include:
- Familiarity with industry best practices for data governance.
- Superior understanding of Mastercard data sets.
- Knowledge and understanding of driving organization change for data governance.
- Experience in establishing and enforcing standards, processes, policies, and procedures to support data quality and management.
- Demonstrated ability to understand complex information product constructs, databases, and data structures.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with proven experience in relationship building, influencing, and partnering.
