Position Overview:

The High School Principal at RMA Texas Public Schools is responsible for leading and managing the educational framework and overseeing the daily operations of the school. This pivotal role demands a commitment to fostering an instructional environment that caters to the diverse needs of students while upholding rigorous academic standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the instructional program, ensuring it aligns with the mission of RMA.
  • Supervise and evaluate the effectiveness of educational staff, providing guidance and support.
  • Monitor and enhance the curriculum through lesson plan reviews, classroom observations, and data analysis.
  • Collaborate with Central Office to implement and assess curriculum initiatives, integrating technology and Blended Learning methodologies.
  • Lead professional development for staff, focusing on continuous improvement and instructional strategies.
  • Manage special education compliance and Response to Intervention (RTI) initiatives.
  • Promote a positive school culture that supports student engagement and community involvement.
  • Oversee personnel management, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Administer the school’s budget and ensure the maintenance of facilities for a safe learning environment.
  • Engage with community stakeholders to foster relationships that support the school’s objectives.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's Degree in education, administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • A valid state administrator's certification is advantageous.
  • At least ten (10) years of successful experience in teaching and educational leadership.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with various stakeholders.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management expertise.
  • Alternative qualifications may be considered as deemed appropriate by the Corporate Board.

The Principal will embody professionalism and ethical standards while pursuing ongoing professional development to enhance their leadership capabilities.
