Position Overview
The Principal of RMA Texas Public Schools is responsible for fulfilling the organization's mission by overseeing the educational framework and managing the daily operations of the designated high school. This position necessitates strong leadership to ensure that the instructional program effectively addresses the diverse needs of all students while upholding rigorous academic standards.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- A Master's Degree from an accredited institution is highly preferred, ideally with a focus in education, administration, or curriculum development, alongside proficiency in the academic and administrative application of technology.
- A valid state administrator's certification is strongly preferred.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of successful experience in educational roles, including teaching and supervisory positions.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities.
- Proven leadership and management skills.
- Any alternative qualifications that the Corporate Board may consider appropriate.
The Principal will enhance the educational program by reviewing instructional plans, observing classroom activities, engaging in discussions with faculty, and analyzing student performance data. Collaboration with Central Office will be essential for planning, implementing, and assessing the curriculum, ensuring effective integration of Blended Learning and technology.
The role includes leading professional development initiatives, overseeing Response to Intervention (RTI) strategies, and managing compliance with special education regulations. The Principal will foster a positive school environment, utilizing data to maintain student enrollment and attendance, while promoting a collaborative atmosphere among staff, students, and parents.
Additionally, the Principal will be responsible for personnel management, which includes recruiting, training, and evaluating staff, while ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures. Financial oversight of the school's budget and facilities management will be critical to maintaining a safe and orderly environment.
Community engagement will involve organizing meetings, advocating for the school, and collaborating with local organizations to further the school's mission. The Principal will also pursue ongoing professional development, exemplifying professionalism, and ensuring compliance with ethical standards.
