Medical Care Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Care Assistant to join our team in the Acute Care Unit.
About the Role:The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting patients with daily activities, providing vital signs and documenting patient information, and collaborating with nursing staff to ensure seamless care delivery.
Responsibilities:- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and ambulation.
- Obtain and document vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Report any abnormal findings to the nurse or physician.
- Perform daily weights and report any abnormalities.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure effective care delivery.
- Active valid CNA certificate in Maine.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- BLS certification within 1 year of hire and maintenance of current certification.
This is a part-time position requiring flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as floating to other units as needed.
