Job Title: Medical Oncologist Opportunity in Rural Maine

About the Job:
The ideal candidate will join a rapidly expanding healthcare system in Caribou, Maine. This dynamic community is economically, culturally, and socially inviting.

Salary and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary of approximately $350,000 per year, plus generous health and welfare benefits package, professional liability insurance, relocation assistance, licensing, DEA registration, medical education loan repayment (if applicable), and an annual allowance for professional society memberships, subscriptions, and Continuing Medical Education.

Work-Life Balance:
No formal call; any inpatient work, such as a floor consult, would occur during regular business hours. The practice has approximately 8-10 patients seen per day, depending on what mix of new patients, follow-ups, and pre-chemotherapy check patients are scheduled. This is almost a purely outpatient practice.

Rural northern Maine enjoys a four-season environment, abundant opportunities for relaxed living, welcoming friendly communities, and a variety of recreational pursuits within minutes. A regional airport is available in nearby Presque Isle. The area is known for its low crime rate, family-oriented community activities, and excellent public school system.

Enjoy breathtaking sunsets on nearby lakes. The ocean is within easy travel distance. Aroostook County provides great hunting and fishing, as well as a multitude of outdoor activities, including camping, biking, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, snowmobiling, and downhill and cross-country skiing. The Maine Winter Sports Center was developed as a premier cross-country skiing venue. It has hosted several World Cup, Paralympics, and Biathlon World Cup events since 2004.
