Cardiac Care Specialist

Aequor Technologies is seeking a skilled Cardiac Care Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and assessing patients with cardiac conditions using telemetry equipment. Your expertise will enable you to track heart rhythms and vital signs, detecting any abnormalities or changes.
About the Job
This is a 13-week contract position, requiring you to work nights for 12 hours a day. You will be based in Burlington, NC, and will receive tax-free housing and meal stipends. Our comprehensive benefits package includes first-day health insurance coverage, weekly direct deposit, and sick days/PTO (varies by facility).
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor patients with cardiac conditions using telemetry equipment* Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and treatments as prescribed by physicians* Respond promptly to changes in patient status, initiating interventions as needed* Perform regular patient assessments, documenting changes in condition, symptoms, and responses to treatments in electronic health records (EHR)* Educate patients and their families on cardiac care, including post-discharge instructions, medication management, and lifestyle changes to support heart health* Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients* Assist in preparing patients for cardiac procedures, ensuring they understand the process and are ready for surgery or interventions
Requirements
* Current RN state license in good standing* Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a telemetry or cardiac care setting* Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required* Proficiency in interpreting cardiac rhythms and telemetry monitoring* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple patients and responding to changes in condition* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail* Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
Estimated Gross Pay: $67,818.88 per 13 weeks, equivalent to approximately $5,165.69 per week. This amount may vary depending on location and other factors.
