Overview

Atrium Health is a leading healthcare organization seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team as a CT Scanner Professional. This role requires a strong foundation in radiologic technology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing CT scans, assisting radiologists during invasive procedures, and maintaining patient records. Additionally, they will be expected to adhere to radiation safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Responsibilities
  • Perform CT scans on patients, ensuring accurate and timely completion of exams
  • Assist radiologists during invasive procedures, adhering to sterile technique and radiation safety guidelines
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and exam results
  • Operate radiology computer systems, entering orders and charging procedures/supplies
  • Prepare and administer IV contrast according to departmental protocols
  • Evaluate technical quality of images and consult with radiologists as needed
  • Practice principle of radiation safety for self, employees, patients, and family members
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

  • Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology
  • ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine, along with advanced registry from ARRT in CT scanning within one year of hire
  • CPR certification
Compensation and Benefits

Atrium Health offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, employees are eligible for benefits packages, paid time off, and opportunities for career advancement.
