About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Avionics FPGA Verification Engineer III to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our avionics team, you will play a critical role in the development and operations of our New Glenn orbital launch vehicle.

Responsibilities
  • Perform requirements-based verification of FPGAs using SystemVerilog UVM
  • Work with FPGA design teams, systems engineering, and software groups to ensure seamless integration
  • Develop and document verification approaches to ensure high-reliability and safety-critical avionics solutions
  • Use SystemVerilog to code testbenches and test cases to validate FPGA functionality
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create verification process artifacts and participate in reviews
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field with a digital design focus
  • 5+ years of experience in FPGA/ASIC design and verification
  • 3+ years of experience with UVM-based verification
  • Full product life cycle development experience, from requirements development through final release
  • Ability to maintain positive, professional relationships and work effectively in a team environment
  • Must be comfortable working in Linux and shell scripting
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with DO-254 and/or other development assurance guidelines
  • Experience with fault-tolerant, high-reliability, safety-critical, robust, radiation-tolerant FPGA-based solution development for space-based avionics systems
  • Familiarity with MPSoCs, AMBA protocols, Xilinx, SmartFusion2
  • Experience with Questasim, Synopsys, Vivado, Libero
  • Basic programming and scripting skills with Python

At Blue Origin, we offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $125,400.00-$175,560.00 for CO applicants and $136,800.00-$191,520.00 for WA applicants. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability, 401(k) with a company match of up to 5%, and an Education Support Program.
