Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled FPGA Design Engineer to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our FPGA team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying high-reliability FPGA solutions for our New Glenn orbital launch vehicle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop FPGA requirements documents and design documentation
  • Design and develop high-performance FPGA solutions using SystemVerilog and FPGA synthesis tools
  • Work with FPGA verification engineers to ensure design accuracy and reliability
  • Participate in reviews and contribute to the development of design process artifacts
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related discipline with a digital design focus
  • 5+ years of experience in FPGA/ASIC design
  • Strong SystemVerilog/Verilog design skills
  • Experience designing high-performance FPGA solutions for use in highly integrated systems
  • Full product life cycle development experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with DO-254 and/or other development assurance guidelines
  • Experience with fault-tolerant, high-reliability, safety-critical FPGA-based solution development for space-based avionics systems
  • Familiarity with MPSoCs, AXI / AXIS, Xilinx, SmartFusion2
