About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Pullman Regional Hospital. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing psychological evaluations, diagnoses, and treatments for Washington State University student-athletes. You will also assist with mental health promotion and education, as well as harm reduction programming.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment and treatment for student-athletes with a wide range of health problems, medical/somatic symptoms, and related mental health concerns.
  • Serve as the primary mental health provider for crisis intervention and treatment.
  • Supervise other behavioral health clinicians involved with student-athlete care.
  • Closely coordinate care with members of the student-athlete's health care team.
  • Facilitate student-athlete access to appropriate professional health care providers on campus and in the surrounding communities.
  • Develop and maintain open lines of communication and referral systems with the athletics staff and University resources.
  • Manage working relationships with student-athletes and staff in a confidential, professional manner.
  • Provide guidance and harm reduction strategies to student-athletes demonstrating behaviors that may have a negative impact on their health, safety, well-being, academic success, and athletic performance.
Requirements
  • A doctoral degree in Psychology or equivalent, including completion of a pre-doctoral internship.
  • Washington licensure within one year to practice counseling/professional psychology.
  • Minimum two years of experience counseling intercollegiate student-athletes.
