Job Summary

Hart Medical Equipment is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing and coordinating respiratory care services under the direction of a Licensed Respiratory Therapist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Observe, assess, and monitor response of individuals to limited respiratory services.
  • Develop, implement, and modify respiratory treatment plans based on clinical pathways, referrals, and written, verbal, or telecommunicated orders of a physician.
  • Apply, operate, and manage PAP therapy.
  • Provide non-clinical support of oxygen, suction, basic tracheostomy setup with no oxygen, and the HFHS VAD support.
  • Read and interpret insurance documents, medical records, and written orders.
  • Chart in detail, both written and in applicable database, ongoing patient care.
  • Coordinate and perform PAP set-ups, mask refits, pressure changes, and assist with patient-owned equipment repair processing.
  • Perform basic respiratory procedures, including cpap, bipap, basic trach with no oxygen.
  • Provide appropriate deliveries, set-up, and instruction as assigned to respiratory customers.
  • Provide plan of service / plan of treatment services to evaluate, assess, and meet the customer's needs, goals, and requirements.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). A medical-related degree is preferred.
  • One year of durable medical equipment, hospital, or other relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance with a good driving record.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment

Working in an office and hospital environment and patient homes. Must be able to drive in all weather conditions.
