We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at an established outpatient facility. This part-time position requires a 3-day workweek with 8 hours of service per day.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough chest examinations for patients of all ages, from infants to seniors.
- Collaborate with medical professionals to develop and refine patient treatment plans.
- Provide advanced therapy services, exercising independent judgment when caring for critically ill patients.
- Perform diagnostic tests to measure lung capacity and blood acidity, and administer oxygen or oxygen mixtures as needed.
- Connect patients requiring ventilator support and educate them on proper equipment use and medication administration.
- Regularly monitor patient progress and equipment functionality.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including licensure in Connecticut.
- Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA)-approved Respiratory Care program.
- Associate Degree of Applied Science or higher in Respiratory Care.
- Current licensure in Connecticut.
