Position: Senior Manager - Corporate Accounting

IDEX is a publicly traded, decentralized manufacturing organization with a network of over 100 subsidiaries. We are in search of a dedicated and skilled Senior Manager to join our Corporate Accounting team. This role plays a crucial part in facilitating the coordination and oversight between our Corporate office and various subsidiaries from an accounting standpoint. The Senior Manager will be actively involved in the monthly and quarterly closing processes and will address accounting issues affecting the subsidiaries. This position offers significant exposure and growth opportunities within the organization and reports directly to the Director of Corporate Accounting. The role operates under a hybrid work model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee lease accounting for both corporate and subsidiary operations, ensuring compliance with monthly SOX controls.
  • Provide support for accounting inquiries from business units, acting as a resource for policy-related questions.
  • Manage the intercompany profit elimination process related to inventory.
  • Review and consolidate results from physical inventory assessments conducted by subsidiaries.
  • Oversee the Lower of Cost or Market testing performed by subsidiaries.
  • Assist in preparing for quarterly accounting webcasts that communicate vital information to subsidiaries.
  • Facilitate the annual accrual frequency communication process.
  • Review and manage the annual accounting forms submitted by subsidiaries, detailing key accounting events.
  • Contribute to the preparation and reporting of IDEX Corporate's monthly consolidated financial statements.
  • Conduct ad hoc reporting for regulatory requirements and internal audits.
  • Support internal and external auditors during the quarterly and annual closing processes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in project completion.
  • Participate in training sessions, seminars, and workshops as necessary.
  • Perform additional related duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • CPA certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3-4 years in public accounting or audit; experience in manufacturing is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of current US GAAP.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and critical thinking skills, with a focus on process optimization.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and eager to learn.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Familiarity with OneStream, JDE, and CoStar is a plus.
