Job Title: Associate Lecturer - Program for Advancement of Learning (PAL)

The Program for Advancement of Learning (PAL) at Curry College is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Associate Lecturer to join our team. As an Associate Lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students with learning differences, including those with specific learning disabilities, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Executive Function Challenges (EF).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach and mentor students with learning differences in a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to student support.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in teaching and learning.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field.
  • Experience working with students with learning differences, including those with specific learning disabilities, ADHD, and EF challenges.
  • Strong teaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse learning styles and needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Teaching experience in higher education, with a focus on students with learning differences.
  • Experience with assistive technology and other accommodations to support students with learning differences.
  • Strong curriculum development and assessment skills, with the ability to design and implement effective learning plans.
