Nurse Practitioner

UNM Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Behavioral Health Clinic team in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. This part-time (0.5FTE) opportunity offers a unique chance to work with a diverse patient population and contribute to the delivery of high-quality behavioral health care.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and managing behavioral health care plans for patients with psychiatric illnesses, substance use disorders, and problems related to chronic health conditions. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to providing patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:- Evaluate and manage behavioral health care plans for patients with psychiatric illnesses, substance use disorders, and problems related to chronic health conditions.
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and promote continuity of care.
- Develop and maintain accurate, legible, and confidential patient records.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Advanced Practice Nursing Accredited Program Graduate.
- Completed degree from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
- One year of related experience in Specialty areas preferred.
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Licensed by the New Mexico Board of Nursing Licensed by the New Mexico Board of Medical Examiner.
- Prescriptive Authority from the State of New Mexico.
- Federal DEA Certification.
- BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers (with hands on training), must be obtained within 30 calendar days of date of hire.
- ACLS or PALS (if applicable) within 30 days of hire.
