Nurse Practitioner

UNM Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our Primary Care Grande Clinic in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. This is a part-time to full-time opportunity with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
About the Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a primary care setting. This includes assessing, diagnosing, and developing treatment plans, as well as implementing treatment and evaluating patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities:- Assess and diagnose patients, developing treatment plans and implementing treatment as needed
- Provide pre-op and post-op care, writing orders and documenting patient information
- Perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Document patient care and communicate with other healthcare professionals as needed
- Provide health education to patients and families, as well as training and supervision to medical residents
- Advanced Practice Nursing or Physician Assistant Accredited Program Graduate
- Verification of education and licensure (if applicable) will be required if selected for hire
- Prescriptive Authority from the State of New Mexico
- Federal DEA Certification
- BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers (with hands on training), must be obtained within 30 calendar days of date of hire
- ACLS or PALS (if applicable) within 30 days of hire

About the Grande Primary Care Clinic:UNM Medical Group has opened a new Primary Care Clinic for the Rio Rancho community in the summer of 2021. The UNM Health Grande Clinic focuses on providing the local community with non-emergency medical needs.
