Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor the front door for safety and security purposes, ensuring the integrity of the facility and its occupants.
  • Screen all incoming and outgoing traffic, including clients, visitors, and staff, and maintain accurate log entries.
  • Notify program staff and, when necessary, the NYPD of security violations.
  • Patrol the building and outside courtyards regularly, identifying and reporting any safety hazards.
  • Clear public areas of loitering residents and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Report unusual violations of house rules and maintain accurate records of such incidents.
  • Attend mandated in-service training programs and meetings.
Requirements
  • High School diploma
  • At least one or two years of experience in security or a related field
  • Experience working with homeless individuals, chronic mental illness, substance abuse individuals, and a plus
  • Bilingual Spanish is preferred
