About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at Tetra Tech, Inc. as a key member of our infrastructure design team. As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing infrastructure projects, including streets, grading, hydraulic design, erosion control, storm drainage, water distribution, and sanitary sewer collection systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop infrastructure projects, including streets, grading, hydraulic design, erosion control, storm drainage, water distribution, and sanitary sewer collection systems;
  • Perform conceptual and detailed design calculations and analyses;
  • Support preparation of detailed engineering reports and supporting documents;
  • Support preparation of construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates;
  • Evaluate alternatives, resolve technical issues, and interface with other engineering disciplines;
  • Resolve questions, plan, coordinate, and execute work in a safe, timely, cost-effective, and compliant manner;
  • Provide construction support services, including field meetings, submittal review, shop drawing review, and RFI's;
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required;
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in civil engineering;
  • EIT certification required, Colorado Professional Engineering license (PE) preferred;
  • Background in project work and process knowledge of grading and drainage, hydrology and hydraulics, and streets;
  • Strong communication, report writing, organization, analytical, and interpersonal skills;
  • Desired background in experience with municipal, commercial, or residential infrastructure projects, including design and permitting of roadway, street, bikeway, erosion control, grading, storm drainage, water distribution, water quality, and sanitary sewer collection systems;
  • Ability to self-direct and self-check plan sets and reports;
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D, word processing, and spreadsheet management programs, with working knowledge of applicable codes;
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel.
