Civil Staff Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Staff Engineer to join our team at CESO. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for organizing tasks for civil engineering projects and performing civil engineering work based on project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of senior team members, perform basic site design work on site plans and construction drawings to include site layout, grading, stormwater, roadway, and utility layouts using Civil 3D.
  • Research design criteria based on project scope and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Perform site design calculations and analysis based on researched codes and regulations to apply it to assigned tasks.
  • Provide thorough and accurate documentation of calculations.
  • Compare design options and document findings to produce detailed civil engineering studies and reports.
  • Review technical and civil engineering drawing markups and make revisions accordingly.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
  • 0-2 years of professional experience (internship experience is applicable).
  • Passage of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam is preferred.
