Job Overview

LOCATION: Wolverine Fuels


PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

This role is chiefly accountable for managing the daily operations of the Surveying and Drafting team.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee and mentor team members, implement best practices, and uphold quality standards.

Organize the daily positioning of survey points for underground mining activities.

Conduct and compute verification surveys to ensure the precision of survey points.

Create and update mine maps, as well as civil, electrical, and mechanical schematics utilizing AutoCAD software.

Prepare monthly assessments of mined regions and stockpiled materials.

Engage in surface surveying tasks, which include subsidence assessments, boundary descriptions for properties/permits, and support for exploration initiatives.


QUALIFICATIONS:


Essential Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficiency in standard surveying techniques, calculations, and data processing.
  • Strong computer literacy (AutoCAD, Civil3D, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to navigate uneven terrain, ascend/descend ladders, and regularly lift/carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Professional Surveying License (PLS) is advantageous.
