Behavior Specialist Job Description

At May Institute, we are seeking a highly skilled Behavior Specialist to join our team. As a Behavior Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing ABA services to children with autism and developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the implementation of ABA services, utilizing your leadership skills to ensure effective interventions.
  • Develop and monitor behavior support plans and individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's unique needs.
  • Compile data and create graphs to assess the effectiveness of treatment plans and skill assessments.
  • Interact with our dedicated staff and provide them with valuable training and support.
  • Engage with parents, offering education and guidance to ensure that skills learned are effectively maintained and refined in the home environment.
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in Master's of Applied Behavior Analysis program required.
  • Master's degree in related field (e.g. psychology, special education) or certificate program to become Board Certified Behavior Analyst accepted.
  • Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA/BCBA-D) and/or ABA State License (LABA) preferred.
  • Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst considered.
