We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Educator III to join our Perioperative Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and performing educational activities that promote the competency and development of Sutter Health's nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinates and performs educational activities to promote competency and development of nursing staff
- Assesses, plans, develops, implements, and evaluates nursing educational programs in response to health care demands, trends, and identified learning needs
- Designs educational offerings using processes and methodologies that incorporate the principles of adult education and learning styles
- Directs the delivery of education for nursing orientation, conducts competency assessments, and facilitates ongoing development
- Maintains educational and competency records in compliance with hospital, regulatory, and accreditation standards
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- RN-Registered Nurse of California or CNS-Clinical Nurse Specialist certification
- Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider or Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
- 5 years of recent relevant experience
- Broad knowledge of clinical nursing, including current trends, safety precaution policies, and electronic healthcare records management software
- Working understanding of adult teaching/learning theories and program assessment, design, promotion, and evaluation processes
- General knowledge of the scope of practice, evidence-based practices, and the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics for Nurses
- Competitive hourly rate of $79.30 to $103.86
