Job Summary

The Quality Assurance General Manager is responsible for ensuring that the products Macrina produces meet the highest standards of quality and artisanal excellence. This position reports to the Production Manager and is a key member of the management team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement processes to ensure product quality and consistency.
  • Maintain and improve product quality through audits, customer complaints, and product testing.
  • Collaborate with management to develop new products, production procedures, and training methods.
  • Work with production, packing, and delivery managers to update and implement new procedures and training methods.
  • Work on the production floor to troubleshoot quality issues and ensure compliance with food safety policies.
  • Record production details and processes to create and maintain standardized production procedures.
  • Effectively communicate product quality issues with different departments.
Requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Experience
  • 2 years + bread experience in mixing, forming, and baking, by hand and large-scale production.
  • 2 years + pastry experience in laminated products, mixing, forming, and baking.
  • Three to five years of experience in related fields preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at times.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Starting wage: $80,000 - $90,000 per year.
  • Eligible for non-discretionary bonus.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance available after 60 days.
