About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Scientist/Engineer to join our Sterile Process Engineering team at GlaxoSmithKline. As an Associate Scientist/Engineer, you will play a key role in the development of innovative pharmaceutical products and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of drug product manufacturing processes using small-scale capabilities, platform initiatives, and technology transfers.
  • Conduct laboratory experimentation, analytical testing, and secondary manufacturing of putative formulations and drug delivery approaches.
  • Collaborate with internal and external discovery and development support partners to advance project goals.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and complete laboratory records.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of guidance, SOPs, and regulatory documentation.
Requirements
  • BS degree in Pharmaceutics, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related scientific discipline.
  • 1+ year of laboratory/manufacturing-based experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BS degree with 3 years experience or Masters degree with relevant laboratory-based experience.
  • Knowledge or experience using small-scale drug product manufacturing process equipment.
  • Experience with conventional and alternative protein formulation development and drug delivery/device development.
  • Ability to collaborate well with others in and across groups.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
