Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Statistical Analyst to join our global Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls (CMC) group at GlaxoSmithKline. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for applying advanced statistical methodologies to support the development of new medicines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and analyze experiments to inform the development of manufacturing processes and associated products.
  • Develop and implement statistical models to support regulatory submissions and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including scientists and engineers, to identify and address statistical challenges.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest statistical techniques and methodologies, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our processes.
  • Communicate complex statistical concepts and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in statistics, biostatistics, or a closely related field with formal statistical training.
  • Experience with advanced statistical modeling and design techniques, including linear modeling, design of experiments, and Bayesian statistics.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as R or SAS, and experience with data visualization tools.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, and to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry setting.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards for statistical analysis.
  • Background in statistical consulting or working with researchers from various fields to devise practical statistical solutions.
  • Experience with design of experiments, mixed models, and high-dimensional data analyses.
