Key Responsibilities- Registration and Scheduling: Register patients, answer phone calls, and schedule appointments in a timely and efficient manner.
- Front Office Operations: Maintain a clean and organized front office area, manage office supplies, and ensure all necessary equipment is functioning properly.
- Financial Transactions: Collect payments from patients, balance transactions, and reconcile encounters with payment transactions.
- Patient Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, respond to their inquiries, and provide them with necessary information.
- Administrative Support: Assist the clinical staff with various tasks, such as contacting emergency services and participating in anaphylaxis drills.
- Education: High school diploma required.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in a medical office or customer service position.
- Skills: Proven success asking for payment, making change, and balancing a cash drawer; working knowledge of basic managed care terminology and practices; familiarity with scheduling and rearranging appointments effectively.
This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent contact with patients. The employee must be comfortable dealing with conflicts and asking patients for money. Interaction with others is constant and interruptive. Contact involves dealing with sick people.
Qualifications- Language: English (bi-lingual is a plus).
- Physical Demands: Position requires full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Involves standing and walking. Employee will occasionally be asked to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds.
