Diesel Mechanic Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at McCarthy Tire Service Co. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance inspections, troubleshooting, and repairing major components on vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections and ensure timely and effective repair of any problems identified during an inspection.
  • Perform proficient inspection, diagnosis, and moderately complex repair of assigned vehicles and equipment.
  • Aid, guide, and direct other maintenance personnel as needed.
  • Utilize vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes and initiate or assign repairs.
  • Inspect the quality of outside/supplier repairs and/or rebuilds, and assess structural damage and assign needed repairs.
  • Perform service calls for emergency breakdowns and conduct safety checks on vehicles.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Successfully complete pre-employment drug screen and physical.
