Position: Manufacturing Technician

Role Summary:
The Manufacturing Technician will play a crucial role in the production process by ensuring that materials are accurately measured and prepared according to established batch specifications. This position requires a proactive approach to adapt to evolving operational procedures.

The ideal candidate will be self-driven, capable of working in a dynamic environment, and possess fundamental computer and mathematical skills. Physical stamina is essential, as the role involves standing for extended periods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and quality standards, while complying with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Implement standard operating procedures for the handling and dispensing of raw materials.
  • Prepare and affix labels to containers and packaging in accordance with labeling protocols.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure quality by checking for expiration dates, contaminants, or other anomalies.
  • Document activities on batch tickets throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Measure and dispense materials by weight into designated containers based on batch tickets.
  • Maintain cleanliness by sanitizing work areas and equipment after each project.
  • Report any damaged or missing inventory to supervisory staff.
  • Lift and stack containers weighing up to 50 lbs to a height of 4 feet.
  • Utilize a drum dolly to tilt drums weighing up to 500 lbs.
  • Execute transactions in the inventory management system and ensure materials are stored in their designated locations.
  • Wear appropriate safety gear when handling hazardous substances.
  • Operate forklifts and other heavy machinery for inventory management.
  • Keep workspaces clear of debris and eliminate safety hazards.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve collective objectives.
  • Sanitize tools and equipment as necessary throughout the workday.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Physical capability to stand, walk, squat, and climb during shifts.
  • Able to lift weights of 50 pounds or more.
  • Proficient in tilting drums using appropriate equipment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-sufficient and capable of working independently.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Organizational skills to maintain a tidy work environment.
  • Adherence to all health and safety protocols as mandated by the organization.
